Hi, I’m Zoe.
I moved from Melbourne to the Whitsundays, with my partner, now husband, 23 years ago. We were looking for a ‘sea change’ and were wanting a more relaxed lifestyle. We also thought this was the perfect place to eventually raise our children without the rush of city life.
After moving we both began working in management rights, within a local 4 ½ star holiday complex. We had no friends or family in the area, however felt welcomed & were able to settle in well.
We now have three beautiful daughters, all born and bred in the Whitsundays – what better place to have on your birth certificate.
Why PD Law?
After running a couple of my own businesses in management rights & retail, and having children; once they were old enough, I was able to return to work. I started working part time in a local Real Estate Agency in Cannonvale. I initially worked on reception and then moved into the finance team. 6 years into my employment, I was promoted to the Office Manager in a full-time role.
After 11 years of working for the agency, I was ready for a change and contacted PD Law. I had previous dealings with PD Law, and from the outside looking in, it looked like a good company to work for. Fortunately, I was able to step into a role in the Accounts Department assisting our Finance Manager, Courtney Svenson.
I have now been at PD Law for almost 2 years and love the work environment, everyone is dedicated to their work, but everyone also knows how to have a laugh so there is a great balance. The hardest part about working here is trying to resist eating the fresh bread which is baked here every day!
How would you describe your approach?
Working in the accounts department, I don’t deal with clients directly very often, however, I am required to chase payments up when needed. I find that by being friendly and helpful is the best approach in any situation. It is the easiest thing in life to put a smile on your face and be helpful.
