With close to 30 years’ experience across property development, conveyancing and leasing, I co-founded PD Law in 2003 and became a Director of the firm in 2012.
A significant part of my work is focused on property development projects of all sizes across the Whitsunday region. I work closely with developers and their project teams, including surveyors, town planners and other consultants, helping to coordinate the legal and practical aspects of developments from the early planning stages through to registration and settlement.
My project management experience is particularly valuable in this space. Property developments involve multiple consultants, approvals, documentation, and interdependent deadlines, and I take an active role in keeping projects moving, anticipating upcoming requirements, and ensuring the legal work remains ahead of critical development timeframes.
My extensive background in conveyancing and property development also gives me a practical understanding of how decisions made throughout the development process ultimately affect contracts, settlements, titles and the end purchaser.
Alongside my development work, I remain closely involved in the strategic direction and management of PD Law. My focus has been on building a progressive regional business capable of competing for sophisticated legal and related work across Queensland, while maintaining the strong local relationships that have been central to the firm since its establishment.
Watching PD Law continue to evolve is one of my greatest professional motivators.

- Innovation and technology – Innovation has been a consistent focus throughout my career, and PD Law has been recognised nationally as one of four national finalists in the Australasian Legal Practice Management Association Thought Leadership Awards.
- From automation to AI – I have been closely involved in the evolution of technology within PD Law, from developing sophisticated automated workflows and working with software providers to beta test emerging products, through to the adoption of AI and intelligent legal technology. I am particularly interested in how AI can reshape the delivery of legal services, improve efficiency and quality, and allow our team to spend more time on the work where their experience and judgement add the greatest value.
- Property development – I work on a number of significant development projects throughout the Whitsunday region, collaborating closely with developers, surveyors, planners and other consultants. Bringing together my property experience and project management skills allows me to take a broader view of each project, anticipate what comes next, and help keep the legal work aligned with development milestones and timeframes.
- Building a progressive regional firm – I am proud of PD Law’s evolution from a local practice into a progressive regional business capable of delivering sophisticated property, development and commercial legal services. I remain focused on finding better ways to work, developing our people, and ensuring that a regional firm can offer the expertise, technology, and client experience expected of much larger practices.
As CEO, Director, and non-lawyer owner of PD Law, I am passionate about challenging traditional ways of working and continuing to evolve how legal services are delivered. For me, technology and AI are not about replacing the value people bring to legal services, but about giving our team better tools, improving the experience for our clients and creating more time for the work that genuinely requires human expertise, relationships and judgment.
