Hi, I’m Stacey.

I grew up in the country, around farms and animals, I am a country girl at heart; I hate the hustle and bustle of the cities, and even Mackay was too big for me which is why I moved to the Whitsundays.

Prior to moving, I had been living & working in Mackay in car sales for 10 years. I have extensive knowledge of the motor vehicle industry and vehicles as I had been involved in all areas of the dealership, from reception, department of transport vehicle registrations, new and used vehicle sales, purchasing of vehicles, website and social media marketing.

I decided to make the move to the area in 2022 with my son, after the opportunity came to purchase our dream home. I grew up on farms and loved the peace & quiet of living on a property in the countryside, after a few months, my partner and I settled on a 17-acre block in Strathdickie, which we now call home.

I have been working at PD Law since May 2022, where I provide administration support to the family & crime team.

Why law?

I have always had an interest in the law. I like to solve things and am inquisitive by nature. In the past I was interested in studying the law however life events occurred, and I was unable to pursue it.

In 2022 I applied for a position with PD Law, where they also offered in house training – I thought it was the perfect role for me, as I would finally be able to work in the industry, I was passionate about. After my first interview, I researched the company more and found it to be very family friendly – which was a big positive for me, as I have a teenage son.

Originally, I was employed in the Commercial team where I assisted Ali Ladd & Shelley Foot, however, after 6 months, I was lucky enough to be transferred to the Crime & Family team which is an area of Law I am particularly interested in. I now assist Elizabeth Smith, Peta Vernon & Terry Gray on their matters.

How would you describe your approach?

I understand these matters are an emotional and stressful process – it’s my job to assist the family & crime team and support our clients. I like to take the time to get to know the client and what they want from us. Listening to them and learning about their situation always helps me to understand how I can support them. It’s important to me that our clients feel supported and cared for whilst dealing with us.
