There’s more to owning a business than starting or buying it. Make sure you’re informed.
Your lawyer should be more than just making sure your lease is suitable and your assets as safe as possible from potential risk. This is critical, but it’s just the beginning.
We look at your proposed business, we consult with your other advisors (for instance your accountant, banker, financial planner), we take an in depth look at your personal circumstances and experience, how you hold your other assets now, and what it is you’re embarking on, and we offer you solutions. In keeping with our Fixed Fee Policy you can choose how much you’d like us involved.

Hayden is a Lawyer working with PD Law. Monday the 12th of December 2016 was a major milestone for Hayden, who was admitted to practise as a solicitor at the Supreme Court of Queensland in Townsville. PD Law director Stuart Bell travelled to Townsville to move Hayden’s admission before His honour Justice David North.
Hayden is working primarily in commercial property transactions and corporate and business acquisitions.
After gaining dual degrees in Economics and Law, Stuart started his own firm in 1996 in the Whitsundays, which at the time was on the cusp of its first major property boom in decades.
Recognizing this, Stuart launched a boutique service called Property Development Law, and dedicated himself to offering a niche service to that emerging market.
During this time Stuart also co-founded Powerup Project Reticulation, an underground power reticulation service for developers, and statutory authorities, now also installing fibre for NBN Co.Powerup has afforded him an insight into civil construction which allows him a far greater and extremely valuable understanding of the process (and pitfalls) of property development.
As such, PD LAW add more value to the project consultancy team than most other traditional legal services.
In 2012 the boutique legal service incorporated and re-badged to PD Law. Stuart is a director and part owner and he feels the way PD LAW manage their business and offer their services has undergone massive, exciting change, due in large part to it's new management structure. Stuart believes it's been challenging to break away from a traditional legal service model, and, a bit like exercise, once you start out on redesigning the way you do business, it's addictive and rewarding and you don't want to stop.
Although PD LAW are a small operation, they adapt quickly. They embrace the concept of portability and the knowledge worker, they've got a true State wide presence, and a strong international client base.
Stuart's clients know he enjoy's what he does!
